Happy Retreat Mansion will be open for tours during Charles Town West Virginia Fest on Saturday June 14 from 10AM to 2PM. Be sure to stop by. Don’t miss our new Dining Room oil painting of the Grand Idea meeting. Plus our Showroom posting about the enslaved men and women who lived and worked at Happy Retreat. And did you know some of these enslaved people were sold at Happy Retreat breaking up families. Happy Retreat will be remembering these men, women and children with a Memorial in the very near future. This is an ongoing research project.
