2012 Visit By FOHR Board Members to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate

On January 8, 2012, members of the FOHR board visited Mount Vernon and were given an extensive tour of the Mansion, outbuildings, gardens and the Tomb of George and Martha Washington . Board Officer, Walter Washington, a direct descendent of Samuel Washington, the brother of President Washington and Charles Washington, recited a Washington Family prayer at the Tomb.
