The Friends of Happy Retreat and the Happy Retreat Wine and Jazz Festival would like to thank The Spirit of Jefferson newspaper for sponsoring the festival this year! The Spirit of Jefferson continues to be one of the largest sponsors and supporters of this festival and we can’t thank them enough! This weekly newspaper got it’s start in 1844 when Charles Town was still part of Virginia! It is now an award-winning weekly newspaper and online news provider. They are a locally-owned business and are a HUGE part of this community, and offer a variety of viewpoints on many subjects.
